A Community Plan
Since the beginning of 2007, the Township and Hillier Architecture have conducted a series of community workshops to engage residents, business owners, government agencies, and other stakeholders in the development of a plan to enhance the designated 350-acre redevelopment area surrounding the Princeton Junction Station at West Windsor. This designation was sought to secure technical, financial, and other types of assistance associated with the development of a village center for West Windsor. Official designation was granted by the State in 2006.
Each community workshop, also called a “charrette,” has taken the input from over hundreds of participants to create a redevelopment concept plan. The three workshops were entitled: IDEAS, POSSIBILITIES, and PLAN.

The concept plan was presented to a combined meeting of the Township Council and the Planning Board on June 4, 2007. More meetings are being planned for the Fall of 2007.
For the People, By the People
Public participation in the Redevelopment Plan is critical to its success. The plan will impact multiple stakeholders including neighbors, land owners, governmental agencies, the greater population of the Township, and the region. It is important that all of these groups come together to develop a plan that all West Windsor residents can embrace.
